On the DL. Thanks.
thanks men.
nujabes rocks!!! :D
Thanks a lot. Nujabes is the shit. I think Side A actually has 7 tracks and Side B has 15. Does the track listing need to be adjusted?
Side A has 17 tracks, and side B has 15.
how is that? the version of the mixtape I got from a torrent download lists it as having 17 tracks on Side B and 15 on Side A, but the funny thing is the 15th listed track for side A is actually the 17th track on side B... someone messed up
I think the one from the torrent download has the tracks all messed up. I'm pretty sure this one is correct. Side A supposed to have 15 tracks and Side B has 17 not the other way around.
can you post the track lengths so i know what to rename some of the files i have?
Or maybe a sample or something. This is all too confusing.
don't be gay, tracklist is correct just cross refrence with last.fm
This is real nice. thanks
The prefuse joint is point to b
nujabes one my fav. Peace
to fit all those tracks into a 80 mb files, the quality must be pretty low, or the compression must be really high. hopefully the audio is nothing below 128 kbps if it's an mp3! regardless nujabes is nice.
This is wrong. One fo the track 9 songs is Rabbit In Your Headlights, not one of the track 7 songs.
Yeah this is wrong. Side B begins with "Made you feel that way" and the torrent download is correct in that regard. All the Songs on Side B from the download all flow and meld into one another. The Track List for side B doesn't fit.
THERES NO TRACK 10 ON SIDE B ON THE LISTING...
U know i gotta give thanks to Samurai Champloo because without them i would have never known about such an amazing group. Big ups to Nujabes
nujabes isn't a group. ..it's one guy.
Thanks - this is great stuff and completes my collection. There's something crazy soulful in his work.
Ok guys I decided to get this shit straight once and for all because of all the flawed track lists I have come across in my search for the real deal. I cross referenced this updated track list a bunch of times with youtube, but still could not get three of the songs. Here's my list:
A/01 Moonstarr – Scarborough RT (*)
A/02 Nicodermus & Osiris – Brooklyn Ole (*)
A/03 Unknown
A/04 Ben Human – Scott Air (Not Ben Hurman) [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7CKNoB9lzI]
A/05 Unknown
A/06 Moonstarr – Dust [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnHfbcQqOzc]
A/07 Native Force - Rain (*)
A/08 Diversion Tactics - Some Product (DJ Jazzy Jeff – Redman – Da Goodness comes in at 1:33 as wimt pointed out but Diversion Tactics is rapping over the beat)
A/09 Unkle - Rabbit in Your Headlights (Underdog Instrumental) [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dG5PYf45fNM]
A/10 Still Unknown
A/11 Prefuse 73 - Point to B [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odAni_-Ftf4]
A/12 CYNE – African Elephant [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJvUzmiGjnw]
A/13 The Scott Steireway Trio – 88 Keys (*)
A/14 DADAMNPHREAKNOIZPHUNK – Crocodile Leather T.I.E. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXI5JSwNYZg&feature=related]
A/15 Tranquility Bass – Cantamilla [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5ZqMI3AhIg]

A/17 Royksopp – Eple [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkvXcvb7rkg]
The tracklist for side B seems correct
(*) Indicates that I could not find anything to cross reference the track with, but I'm almost sure that it's the correct track. Also if anyone has the Galliano - Prince of Peace (Attica's BP Instrumental 9) it would be a great help if they could check tracks 3,5, and 10 to see if it's a match. Nujabes was a musical genius and his work deserves to be respected instead of chopped and butchered by shitty online tracklistings, I hope we can solve this one especially in light of his recent passing. RIP Nujabes, you will always inspire us through your amazing music.
thx Roy !
RIP Nujabes !! he'll be miss for sur !
Just some amendments to Roy's tracklist, did a bit of sleuthing to confirm some unconfirmed tracks.
I'm pretty sure Side A is only 15 tracks, with the 17 track version cut badly in parts [Tracks 2 and 5].
A/01 Moonstarr - Scarborough RT [http://ptrmusic.com/radio_show.php?radio_id=92] - Moonstarr mix, Scarborough RT is the first track.
A/02 [4:08-5:56] seems to be badly cut - instead of cutting tracks at 4:07 and 5:56, Scarborough RT should continue on until 5:23, which then becomes Brooklyn Ole by Nickodemus & Osiris.
A/03 Nickodemus & Osiris - Brooklyn Ole [Cross-referenced with beatport]
A/05 Again, seems to be badly cut, parts of Ben Human's Scott Air and Moonstarr's Dust in there.
A/07 Native Force - Rain [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMa9QNlUglM]
A/08 Diversion Tactics - Some Product [http://www.tru-thoughts.co.uk/releases/Various/TRU026] - Tru Thoughts released the song "Some Product" on a compilation called "When Shapes Join Together 2". You can hear samples of all songs on the comp from that link, the Diversion Tactics song is Track 5.
A/10 Because I can't seem to find a sample of Galliano - Prince of Peace [Instrumental mix whatever] I'm guessing that it's track 10. On other tracklistings where Side A has 15 tracks, the Galliano track is between the UNKLE and Prefuse 73 tracks, which is track 10 on the 17 track listing. Have a listen to this [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2927aptNFM] - the beat is kinda similar to track 10? Maybe?
A/13 The Scott Steireway Trio - 88 Keys [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jo5mpCKMscM] - although the title of the youtube vid is Scott STEINWAY Trio, there are more listeners of the Scott STEIREWAY trio on last.fm [not conclusive at all, but the closest you can get to it...]
Respect to Nujabes for this amazing mixtape, thanks to Roy for figuring most of it out =D
THE REAL TRACK LIST......
100% certain this is the correct list. i referenced the other track lists and listened to the beginning and end of each song to make sure the blend is there. Of course Side A has 17 tracks and Side B has 15. It wouldn't make any sense for the second side to have more songs when there is extra room on the first side. i have the length of each track listed however Tracks 10 and 13 on side A have no titles in my iTunes but are in the right place.
Side A
1. Scarborough RT 4:07 moonstarr
2. Brooklyn 1:48 Nicodermus & Osiris

13. Sofantastik 3:08 The Tarantulas
14. Balmes 1:49 Ian Pooley
15. Life is Like a Samba 2:37 Dave Benoit
Took forever to get this right but damn, this is a kill mix tape. Cant get any better than this right here. The gods gotta be listening to this shit.
thanks guys!!! i was about to go crazy without the titles. love Nujabes
Rain isnt before Dust
He is a great loss to the music world
http://www.japansugoi.com/wordpress/nujabes-jun-seba-hip-hop-master-and-dj/
Side A prelude contains some random dude doing nujabes' intro (i lol'd when i nujabe himself said his name), then
"Samba de Uma Nota So"
then
Track 1 Moonstarr – Scarborough RT
This is a dumb question... but does this release being a "Mixtape" mean that Nujabes didn't produce any of it, he just compiled the tracks? Or did he mix them further himself? I'm not too up on DJ terminology, sorry.
I've finally re-cut the 17 tracks on Side A into 15, which is really what it should be.
Most of the tracks can be cross-referenced on beatport or label websites, except for two.
88-Keys' "The Scott Steinway Trio (Montreux '76)" is from the DJ Spinna release "The Beat Suite" (88-Keys is a rapper/producer who has worked with Talib Kweli, Mos Def and Kanye West).
Galliano's "Prince of Peace (Attica's BP Instrumental)" is a track found on one of the single releases for Galliano's "Prince of Peace". Remixed by Attica Blues - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-uZCXkHU4Q - this isn't the instrumental version, skip to 1:21 and that's where the instrumental version starts on Ristorante Mixtape.
The random dude at the start is actually Miles Davis - it's an excerpt from the 1991 film "Dingo".
Anyways, here's the tracklisting for Side A, with the re-cut timing (Artist - Title):
1. Moonstarr - Scarborough RT (5:23)
2. Nickodemus & Osiris - Brooklyn Ole (4:06)
3. Ben Human - Scott Air (3:01)
4. Moonstarr - Dust (2:41)
5. Native Force - Rain (3:41)
6. Diversion Tactics - Some Product (2:44)
7. UNKLE - Rabbit in Your Headlights (Underdog Instrumental) (2:02)
8. Galliano - Prince of Peace (Attica's BP Instrumental) (1:22)
9. Prefuse 73 (Point to B) (1:29)
10. CYNE - African Elephant (2:49)
11. 88-Keys - The Scott Steinway Trio (Montreux '76) (2:59)
12. DADAMNPHREAKNOIZPHUNK - Crocodile Leather T.I.E. (2:28)
13. Tranquility Bass - Cantamilla (3:55)
14. Lava - Vem Para Ficar (3:15)
15. Röyksopp - Eple (3:15)
As you can see, there are no unknown tracks. I've spent quite a bit of time trying to get references for each and every track, making sure that everything is 100% correct.
Because I re-cut the album a while ago, I don't remember exactly which tracks were cut to make which, but basing it off Anonymous' tracklisting, I'll use the times.
Changes I've made from the 17-track to the 15-track:
1. Track 1 (4:07) and 1:16 from Track 2 became Scarborough RT (5:23)
2. The leftover 0:32 from Track 2 and Track 3 (3:34) became Brooklyn Ole (4:06)
3. Track 4 (2:56) and 0:05 from Track 5 became Scott Air (3:01)
4. The remainder of Track 5 and all of Track 6 became Dust (2:41)
If you add the times up you'll see I've somehow added an extra 12 seconds on Dust - don't ask me how, it just happened.
So, if someone finds something wrong with this (apart from that little timing error), please let me know, with some references.
the unknown A5 is just the ending of A4 and transition to A6, wonder why this part was cut into a separate track.
This was really confusing to work out, but JFox's work is correct.
As far as I can tell, the following is the "correct" listing for those of us who got this album from the improperly-cut torrent:
Side A
1. Scarborough RT - Moonstarr (4:06)
2. Scarborough RT - Moonstarr (1:48)
3. Brooklyn Ole - Nickodemus & Osiris (3:33)
4. Scott Air - Ben Human (2:56)
5. Dust - Moonstarr (1:31)
6. Dust - Moonstarr (2:02)
7. Rain - Native Force (3:40)
8. Some Product - Diversion Tactics (2:44)
9. Rabbit in Your Headlights (Underdog Instrumental) - UNKLE (2:02)
10. Prince of Peace (Attica's BP Instrumental) - GAlliano (1:22)
11. (Point to B) - Prefuse 73 (1:29)
12. African Elephant - CYNE (2:49)
13. The Scott Steinway Trio (Montreux '76) - 88-Keys (2:58)
14. Crocodile Leather T.I.E - Dadamnphreaknoizphunk (2:27)
15. Cantamilla - Tranquility Bass (3:54)
16. Vem Para Ficar - Lava (3:14)
17. Eple - Röyksopp (3:14)
Side B
1. Make You Feel That Way - Blackalicious (3:19)
2. Ladbroke Groove - DJ Spinna (3:26)
3. Say Ow - DJ Smash (3:50)*
4. Full Moon - Armand Van Helden ft. Common (2:48)
5. Get Down (Bronx Dogs 12") - Jungle Brothers (1:18)
6. Canned Heat (MVP Unreleased Remix) - Bugge Wesseltoft (3:00)
7. Rock - DJ Spinna (2:13)
8. Killing Time - James Taylor Quartet (4:19)
9. Eve Nin (Oliver Holtzer & R Gecheidles remix) - Bugge Wesseltoft (3:01)
10. New Morning - Guida de Palma (4:00)
11. Summer Daze - Nick Holder (2:42)
12. Another Star - Kathy Sledge (4:48)
13. Sofantastik - The Tarantulas (3:08)
14. Balmes - Ian Pooley (1:49)
15. Life is Like a Samba - Dave Benoit (2:37)
* cuts to Hiroshi* & KUDO feat. DJ Milo – The Re-Return Of The Original Art-Form at 2:17
Note that two tracks on Side A are listed twice. This is because they're just extended cuts of the previous song. Side A should only list 15 tracks.
THIS PLAYLIST IS INCORRECT
THE NUMBER OF TRACKS IS INCORRECT
THE TRACK TITLES ARE MISPLACED
HERE IS THE TRUTH

Here's a link to the image of the insert with track listing:
http://cfs5.tistory.com/image/1/tistory/2008/04/17/19/30/480726b144f99
if each side of the insert represents a side of the tape, then side A has 15 tracks and side B has 16. I've given up on getting the listing right without listening to the tape as is...and every site I've found is having the same debate as here.
Thanks to all for their efforts!
Does anyone have the TAPE?
